The Health and Assistive Technology Laboratory, or HeAT Lab for short, was opened in February 2018 as a collaborative effort between Tampere University of Technology (TUT) and Tampere University of Applied Sciences (TAMK). The cosily furnished laboratory offers a broad range of specialist equipment, for example, for measuring physiological signals and serves both teaching and research purposes. The services are also available to companies operating in the rapidly growing healthtech industry.
HeAT Lab is located on the Kauppi campus of TAMK on the second floor at Kuntokatu 4. Now with everything in place, the lab’s employees are eagerly awaiting for HeAT Lab to turn into a hive of activity. The laboratory will host an open house on Thursday, 13 September from 10:00 to 17:00. Welcome to take a tour of the facilities! Guests will have the opportunity to try out the equipment, such as a wireless blood pressure monitor and a mobile phone-based real-time ECG monitoring system. Coffee and refreshments will be served.
